The latest issue of Rhythm carries a Butch Vig cover feature and Taylor Hawkins is one of the artists who talk about their experience recording with Butch:
Butch also told the magazine about the Sound City project:
He was however a little less forthcoming on Jo Whiley’s show last night (May 8th), Jo tried to push him for the names of the latest participents involved but he kept quiet saying he’d revealed too much in the past. He did however say that Dave has already spoken to 150 of the artists who used the studio and the film looks scheduled for release in January/February 2013.
June’s Rhythm hits the shelves on Tuesday (May 10th) and Taylor is on the cover talking all things ‘Wasting Light':
Rhythm magazine caught up with Taylor for a Q&A to celebrate their 25th anniversary. Post-Coattail Riders and back demoing songs with Foo Fighters he had this to say;
“Dave has lots of songs – as he always does – and I’m telling you that one of them is up there in the top five songs he has ever written. We did a quick demo and just knew in our hearts that it was special.”
March’s Rhythm magazine has a 10 page interview with Dave covering Them Crooked Vultures, getting back behind the kit and the future of the Foo Fighters. Plus, Dave’s drum tech provides an extensive look at Dave’s kit.
