Along with premiering ‘Wheels’ on his Radio One show tonight (September 23rd) Zane Lowe caught up with Dave on the phone for a quick interview. Here are the points of interest:
- The tracklisting was finalized (with the help of Pat Smear) just a few days ago.
- Foo Fighters are “taking it easy” & are putting off recording a new album until everybody is happy and ready to.
- Them Crooked Vultures’ album still doesn’t have a title.
The studio version of ‘Wheels’ will get it’s radio debut this Wednesday (September 21st) and Dave will also be on the phone to chat with Zane.
The appearance is yet to be officially announced but charitybuzz.com are offering the chance to bid on 2 tickets to meet the band at the recording of VH1 Storytellers in LA in October.
videostatic reports that Foo Fighters recently reunited with ‘The Pretender’ director Sam Brown to shoot a promo for ‘Wheels’.
Although a live version has been out there for quite a while, Zane Lowe played a clip from the studio version on his show last night.
Check it out on iPlayer. (approximately 21 mins in)
Later with Jools Holland returns for a 10 week run on September 15th and Foo Fighters will be returning to the programme (exact date tbc) to promote their November 2nd ‘Greatest Hits’ CD.
