
Q celebrates it’s 20th birthday next month & to mark the event the magazine’s November edition will be published with 20 different covers – one of which is Dave Grohl. There will also be a new interview with Dave looking at his personal highs & lows of the past 20 years.

From Monday September 26th Colin Murray gets a new show on BBC Radio One, here’s what he’s got in store for his first programme;
“It’s great when bands come into the station to record a session or play live; but all too soon the tracks are confined to the shelves of the Radio 1 archive. Not any more. Back in early July Chris Shiflett played some guitar on his buddy Jesse Malin’s new record ‘Glitter in the Gutter’. Josh Homme & Bruce Springsteen also guest on the release.

According to flyers handed out at the Shoreline Ampitheater, Foo Fighters will play the 20th annual Bridge School Benefit concert on October 20th & 21st. As well as the concert’s organizer Neil Young, the bill also includes Pearl Jam, Dave Matthews, Trent Reznor, Brian Wilson, Death Cab for Cutie and Devendra Banhart.

The 34th Annual Surfer Poll and Video Awards will be held on Tuesday, September 12, in Anaheim, California. Entertainment for the evening comes from pro-surfer turned musician Timmy Curran (who supported Foo Fighters on the first leg of their US acoustic dates). For the evening Timmy will be accompanied by Chris Shiflett along with Dave Kennedy of Angles and Airwaves.
